Our Story

Since 1996, Pastor David faithfully served God and his pastors, Richard and Tena Ford, at Family Worship Center in Stafford, TX.  After attending the School of Ministry there, he became an Usher, then the Head Usher and eventually Pastor Ford's armor bearer.  Subsequently, he was ordained to be a minister and became a part of the Pastoral Care team with his wife, Dorothy.  Not only was he given the opportunity to preach the word of God on occasion in the main service on Sundays and on Wednesday nights, but he also traveled with Pastor Ford to Africa; he traveled to different parts of the U.S. with Evangelist Debra George.  And he continues ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ any and everywhere he goes with the power and anointing of God.

Pastor David is a simple man.  As a matter of fact, his catchphrase is "Keep It Simple".   He loves telling jokes and making people laugh!  He also loves spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Pastor Dorothy was born-again in 1993.  Prior to working at her church, Family Worship Center, beginning in 1999, she traveled with Evangelist Debra George, every weekend for 6 years, assisting her as they crossed the U.S. winning souls for Christ and ministering the love of God in churches, ladies conferences and youth groups.  She too, was given a great opportunity to travel to Africa with Tena Ford, going through a heart-felt experience of what it was to serve God oversees.  

Upon meeting David at Family Worship Center one day, a new season began for both of them.  Married since March 2001, together they loved and enjoyed serving God and assisting their Pastors with the church services and with anything they needed.  

With the blessings of their pastors, and despite a world-wide pandemic (COVID),
they were launched out to start
The New Old Church on January 3, 2021.

Little did they know, the training they received in all those years serving God and
serving in their local church that it would come to this.
They love Jesus with all their heart and care about the current and eternal life of people.
They wish to impart, to preach and to teach the goodness and the power of God's word.
They want all to know it is possible to live a godly life and enjoy it too, all at the same time!
